Prop 4

Yesterday, I received a phone call from Planned Parenthood asking me to vote NO on Prop 4. I have been so busy with Prop 8 that I was clueless about what Prop 4 really is. So, today, I looked online to see what Prop 4 entails. Here is what I found out:

Proposition 4, or the Abortion Waiting Period and Parental Notification Initiative, also known to its supporters as Sarah's Law, is an initiated amendment that will appear on the November 4, 2008 ballot in California. It proposes a new amendment to the California Constitution.[1],[2],[3]
The initiative would prohibit abortion for unemancipated minors until 48 hours after physician notifies minor’s parent, legal guardian or, if parental abuse has been reported, an alternative adult family member.

I ask all of my friends and family to PLEASE vote YES on Prop 4. The schools and Planned Parenthood have NO right to assist our daughters in getting abortions without our knowledge or consent. An abortion is something that you can not take back. We need to have the opportunity to council with our daughters and work with them to find an appropriate solution. This is the job of parents!!
Please, Vote YES on Prop 4!!
